It is the opinion of the FCGI that the companies in Indonesia have the main responsibility of observing internationally agreed standards of corporate governance. Not only the listed and large companies, but in principle all companies have this responsibility.

Every company in Indonesia should recognize the importance that a system of good corporate governance has for the interests of its shareholders, its financiers and its employees, and therefore, for the company itself. Like in other countries, companies in Indonesia should anticipate stronger enforcement of existing laws and regulations, the introduction of new regulations and compliance systems and increasingly strong public scrutiny over their actions.
